BTTF. com has reported that producer Bob Gale confirmed that new high-def transfers of the Back to the Future films are being done for DVD from newly struck and restored elements. There’s supposed to be some pretty extensive extras, so I’m very excited. ETA on the discs is reported to be the 2nd quarter of 2002. …

I finally received my Newsies DVD in the mail today, and I must say that the image quality is better than I expected for such an old film. Disney really put some effort into this DVD, and I recommend it. I can’t wait to watch the extras, because they look really informative and interesting. …

I saw the movie Final Fantasy last night, and it was very good. It was so real looking, it was almost hard to believe it was animation. This is one of the best DVD transfers I have seen in a while. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, I recommend it. …

I have been working on a new web site the last few days. It will be ready sometime in the next week or two. It is a widescreen advocacy site that I’m working on with a friend from the Home Theater Forum. My partner is doing all the graphics work, and I’m doing most of the site contnet. I saw this movie on Video on someone’s recommendation last year, and immediately knew that I wanted to own a DVD of Newsies. It’s finally coming out on DVD this Tuesday. I just pre-ordered a copy and I can’t wait for it to arrive. If you like Newsies pick up a copy this Tuesday, or order one online. I have decided not to enroll in school this semester. I need some time to think about what I really want to do after I graduate. Instead, I will get another job, and work for another year or so. I am going to live in a house near campus, with the same roommate that I had my first semester at ACU. I’m moving in this Saturday. Now the only thing left for me to do is to find a job.…

I had a great New Years. A family from church invited me over to dinner for New Year’s Eve. After dinner and dessert, I played hide & go seek and a few other games with the kids. I had a lot of fun. I had a great Christmas. I got the first two hardback Harry Potter books, a nice pair of inline skates, some money from my grandparents, and a cool American Eagle Hat. I have never really liked to wear hats, but I like this one enough that I’ll probably wear it pretty often. I have already been to ACU a few times to skate, but I need someone to skate with. I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday! I finally received my CBC Faith and Praise CD Monday morning, and I love it so much, I have listened to it twice already. Listening to it really takes me back to CBC. I loved hearing all those beautiful voices again. I was even able to pick out some of the individual voices. I am sure I will get enjoyment out of this CD for many years to come.…
