Welcome to Joshua's Place

Welcome! This site has been a part of my digital footprint since the early 2000s, serving as a time capsule for the early chapters of my adult life. While I keep this space online as a reflection of where I started, my journey has evolved quite a bit since this site was last updated.

Found New Conservative News Program: WND!

Yesterday, I was listening to Sirius Radio, and I came across a news program I had never heard of before. It’s called World Net Daily, and it’s broadcast out of D. C. It was refreshing to hear a news show that doesn’t have a liberal slant like the mainstream press. I’m going to start listening to that regularly. I also listen to Fox News, especially the O’Rielly Factor. You can check out World Net Daily online too. But you probably…

Baby-Sitting is Fun

I got to baby-sit for one of my co-workers last night. Her daughter and I just hung out on campus for a few hours, while both of her parents were working. It was a lot of fun. We watched a movie in one of the dorm lobbys. Then her family invited me watch a movie with them on campus. Pirates of the Caribbean was playing, at the campus theater, and it was a great movie. I was pleasantly surprised when…

Drawing Class is Tough!

It’s been a long week. I had two tests, and I think I did pretty well on one of them. I will have to retake the other test. I also have a lot of homework. I haven’t been getting much in humanities or desktop publishing, but it’s really starting to pile up in drawing. I have to draw an entry in a jounal every day! I never really drew much as a child, so it’s not coming easy. Whenever I…

Rush Limbaugh Admits Being Addicted to Painkillers

Mega Ditto’s to Rush! I have been listening to the Rush Limbaugh Show since day one of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and I really enjoy his program. He recently admitted to being addicted to painkillers. He has checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic, and I fully support him in his efforts. I will definitely miss hearing his show, and I wish him a speedy recovery. …

New DVDs added to collection

I recently purchased two DVD’s I have been waiting on for years. The first was Sleeping Beauty, and the second was the Lion King. They are both awesome DVD’s, and I would recommend them to any Disney fan. I’m also looking forward to getting Indiana Jones, which comes out next week.…

Changing positions at Work

I switched positions at work again. I was catering but I got tired of the way my boss was treating me, the long hours, and the stress, so I’m back to working at the ACU cafeteria once again. Angie, my wonderful supervisor, is flexible with my schedule, so I can just work on the weekends. …

Second Semester is Tough

My second semester at TSTC has recently begun. I’m taking algebra, drawing, humanities, and desktop publishing this semester. I hate the desktop publishing class, because we are using outdated software that is not at all intuitive. Drawing class is a little rough too, because I did not do much drawing as a child. My other classes are going okay, even though I am behind in a few of them. I’ll have to use fall break to catch up. …

New Fan of Hayao Miyazaki

I have never really been a fan of anime, only having watched a few episodes of Dragon Ball Z becase my brother was a fan several years ago. A few weeks ago, I decided to watch my first anime movie, Spirited Away, because I had been hearing a lot of really good things about it on the Home Theater Forum. I loved Spirited Away so much, that I wanted to see more animated films from the director of Spirited Away,…

Finished Reading Harry Potter Book!

I purchased my copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at 12:01 a. m. last Saturday morning at Hastings. I had a lot of fun at the midnight release party, and I met a lot of really cool fans. I was the second one in line, so they made me the “official timekeeper”. As soon as I got home I began to read the book. It took me just a little over 20 hours to read the…
