Welcome to Joshua's Place
Welcome! This site has been a part of my digital footprint since the early 2000s, serving as a time capsule for the early chapters of my adult life. While I keep this space online as a reflection of where I started, my journey has evolved quite a bit since this site was last updated.
If you want to explore my current business initiatives or personal interests, please visit my new primary site at joshuaclinard.com. Otherwise, feel free to explore the archives!

Sirius Adds 10 New Channels 7/7/2004 Sirius Satellite Radio has just added 10 new channels, including Elvis Radio, and Sirius Patriot. I am thankful for Sirius Patriot, as it has moved some of my favorite shows, including the Michael Reagan Show and World Net Daily to daytime hours. I look forward to hearing the new music channels as well. Yours truly, Joshua Clinard @ 7:12 pm …

John Kerry Picks Running Mate 7/7/2004 John Kerry picked John Edwards as his running mate yesterday, but I don’t think Edwards brings anything substantial to the ticket. He is a trial lawyer, and big companies despise trial lawyers. They make the cost of doing business much higher, because of the frivolous lawsuits that are so rampant these days. Trial lawyers are the main reason that so many companies are outsourcing jobs overseas. John Edwards also has the 4th highest…

independence Day Celebration 7/7/2004 I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I went to see Spiderman 2 with my church college group Sunday night, and we had a great time. It was a great movie, even if it was formulaic. After the movie, we went to shoot off fireworks, and we had a great time. It was the first time I had shot off fireworks, so it was a learning experience for me. There’s a new movie…

Site Changes Coming Soon 7/7/2004 In the coming weeks, I will be converting the site to a database driven site, so that I will be able to update the layout and the content more easily, and more frequently. Also, some time ago, I had to shut down the guestbook, because people were flooding it with spam. If I can get an approval feature hacked into it, I will turn it back on. I also had to delete my slam…

Blog to Become More Political! 7/3/2004 I have been following politics very closely for over a year now. I have been listening to a lot of talk radio and reading some blogs. My favorite radio hosts are of course Rush Limbuagh and Sean Hannity. Sean is an excellent host for those that are moderately conservative, or for those that consider themselves Reagan Democrats. Rush is more suited for the hard-core consevatives. Anyway, since this is an election year, my…

Working Part-Time 7/3/2004 I am only taking two morning classes this summer, so that I can work at the World Famous Bean. Youth camps are hosted at ACU during the summer, so the cafeteria has to be open certain weeks. It’s much more pleasant working at the Bean during the summer, because the little kids are so happy and thankful for what we provide. The college kids are somewhat more difficult to please. Yours truly, Joshua Clinard @ 1:06…

Changing Majors 7/3/2004 Because of my difficulties in Basic Drawing last year, I decided that I don’t have enough artistic talent to persue a major in Digital Imaging and Design Technology. Therefore, I decided to change majors. I am now taking my second semester of Computer Networking Administration classes. I have been doing very well so far, and the classes interest me this time around. Yours truly, Joshua Clinard @ 10:12 am …

Senate Approves Partial-Birth Abortion Ban! 10/21/2003 Great news! The senate approved a Partial Birth Abortion Ban today. The President will of course sign it into law before it hits his desk. There are legal challenges ahead for the bill, because some of the democrats have resorted to persuading liberal judges into creating laws based on their beliefs, rather than interpreting whether laws are constitutional. Most of today’s liberal democrats do not represent the people. Polls show that 77% of…

Found New Conservative News Program: WND! 10/19/2003 Yesterday, I was listening to Sirius Radio, and I came across a news program I had never heard of before. It’s called World Net Daily, and it’s broadcast out of D. C. It was refreshing to hear a news show that doesn’t have a liberal slant like the mainstream press. I’m going to start listening to that regularly. I also listen to Fox News, especially the O’Rielly Factor. You can check out…

Baby-Sitting is Fun 10/19/2003 I got to baby-sit for one of my co-workers last night. Her daughter and I just hung out on campus for a few hours, while both of her parents were working. It was a lot of fun. We watched a movie in one of the dorm lobbys. Then her family invited me watch a movie with them on campus. Pirates of the Caribbean was playing, at the campus theater, and it was a great movie.…
