Bush’s Nominee for Attorney General is Blocked by the Senate!
1/25/2001
Just a few moments ago, I received an e-mail saying that John Ashcroft, President Bush’s appointment of the new Attorney General is not being accepted by the Senate, on the basis that he has some basic Christian beliefs. Keeping someone from holding public office based on this is unethical, as well as illegal! President Bush’s appointments should be accepted unless the person has committed a crime. John Ashcroft has not. He is Pro-Life, and he supports the partial-birth abortion ban. That is not a reason to keep someone out of office, and it should be stopped! Please read the following article for more information!
