Liberal Democrats Really Think it’s Okay to Lie
9/23/2004
While listening to the Sean Hannity Show yesterday, I realized something about today’s liberal democrats that I hadn’t really realized before. After listening to one of the segments, I realized that most liberals will say just about anything to get George W. Bush removed from office, even if it’s a complete lie, and even if they know they are telling a lie! I used to think that they lie because they are mis-informed, but not anymore. Not only do they know they are telling lies, they think it’s okay to do so, as long as it is for a good cause. And in their minds, if it helps get Bush removed from office, it is a good cause.
Case in point. Sean was talking to a spokesman from the Media Fund, which has put out a new ad that accuses the Republican Party of denying a million black people from voting in the 2000 Election. The ad also accuses Republican Party officials of trying to suppress the black vote this election cycle. However, there hasn’t been one person that has come forward to say that they were prevented from voting in 2000. Not one! When asked, the spokesman from the Media Fund could not name a single person who was prevented from voting in 2000. Nor could he name a single Republican Party official who was engaging in trying to suppress any votes. Instead of answering the question, the spokesman tried to change the subject, and started to accuse Bush of other things, which were also unsubstantiated. It was nothing but talk of Halliburton-Dick Cheney, Abu-Garib, WMDs and the like. These accusations had nothing to do with the content of the ad. I think it is wrong for someone to accuse the sitting President of something if they cannot back it up. Sean Hannity told the spokesperson the same thing. You know what he said? He said it’s okay to lie, if it’s for a good cause! I was flabbergasted!
