Lectureship Wrap-up
2/27/2003
Most of our catering events went pretty smooth this year. There was one event, The President’s Circle that turned out to be a nightmare, because the beef was bloody red. The Chef got a lot of flak for that. I was lucky to be serving another party, so I didn’t have to deal with all the returned plates. The next night, the beef was so well done, that no one could complain about it not being done. On Monday and Tuesday quite a few of our events were cancelled because of a pretty bad ice storm. It was 13 degrees outside Tuesday morning. The company lost a lot of money. Even with the cancellations, I was able to work 81 hours this year. Lisa, our supervisor, bought Dora and I a little birthday cake on Tuesday. That was really sweet of her.
